COLOURS OF AUSTRALIA | home
July 2008
The goal for this trip was to
finish a number of garments.
I have been invited to participate at the Don College Fashion Parade
(Devonport, Tasmania) and had been working
on a fashion range on and off for some time.
This invitation was the perfect motivation to
get it all going.
My interest is in making garments that are
interesting and easy to wear. I want to use
hand dyed natural fabrics such as silk and wool,
use techniques such as knitting, crochet,
felting and stitching and generally use my
textile design and technical know-how skills
to inspire the work. I have always been interested
in colour and texture and want to marry this with
different hand techniques.
There was a lot of stitching.....
