October 07
The last two weeks in October
John and I traveled to China for
a quick visit to the Guangzhou show,
then on to India to meet new suppliers
and finally ended our trip in Nepal. Eventhough
we didn't have a lot of time in Nepal,
we still managed to get a whole lot of
new products finalized.

India

Our hotel was simple, we dined off our friends' bed!
The Taj Mahal is a stunning assembly of white marble.
The fact that  it took 7 hours to do the 200km's from Delhi
to Agra was less stunning, but prepared us for the trip back,
which, yes you guessed it,
also took 7 hours!

(Left) Luckily, humor can be found anywhere.
(Right) Despite the long trip, I was thrilled to see the famous Taj Mahal,
and can highly recommend a visit, just have patience! It's hot, busy and
frustrating. Security measures are high and it  takes endless queueing to
get inside.

The women look stunning in their colourful kurtas
and made an amazing contrast to the bright white Taj.

We left India in style. As we couldn't get a taxi for
five people and our luggage, we took two tuktuk's to
Delhi airport.

Nepal

I usually spend all my time working when I'm in Nepal.
This time John was with me and we spent a couple of days
exploring the country side. And what fun we had!
I have to say the highlight for me was the white water rafting
on the Trisuli river. It was sooo much fun!!

We rafted to Chitwan National Park, where we stayed for 2 nights.
One of our activities was elephant riding at dawn, lots of fun, eventhough
we didn't see much wildlife. A sloth bear made an appearance
but that was about it. The leopards, tigers and rhino's were elsewhere!
We did see fresh leopard tracks, but John was not convinced that
it wasn't the staff of the park making them!
It is a beautiful place to spend some time
but it was time to get back to work!
